How can we help?

• What exactly does Citeca do?

Citeca is an AI SEO tool. It finds the keywords your customers search, writes SEO articles in your brand's voice and publishes them to your website, audits your site for technical SEO problems, builds backlinks through our network, and tracks how often ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Gemini mention your business. You get a report every week.
• Do I need any SEO knowledge?

No. Citeca picks the keywords, plans the articles, writes them and publishes them on schedule. Everything is explained in plain words, and you can change any plan, topic or article if you want a say.
• What do I actually have to do?

Connect your site once. After that it runs on its own: articles are published on schedule and a report arrives every week. If you would rather approve each article first, switch to review mode and nothing goes live without your yes.
• How long before I see results?

The first articles go live within days. Search engines and AI tools usually take weeks to months to react, and three to six months is a fair expectation for steady growth. Results depend on your market and your competitors, and nobody can promise a ranking or an AI mention by a date.
• What is AEO, and is it different from SEO?

SEO is about ranking a page in Google's results. AEO, answer engine optimisation, is about being the source an AI tool quotes when it answers a question directly. They overlap: both reward clear answers, good structure and trusted sites. Citeca works on both at once.
• Can I keep my existing writer or agency?

Yes. Citeca covers the steady volume and the structure AI tools quote from, and your writer can focus on the pieces that need real opinion or original research. The content calendar is visible to both, so nothing gets written twice.

• How many articles do I get each month?

Up to 30 a month, planned ahead in your content calendar and published on schedule. Each one targets a keyword your customers search.
• Can I connect Citeca to my website?

Yes. Citeca publishes to WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, Wix, Framer, Ghost, Joomla, BigCommerce, GoHighLevel, Duda and Snapps, and there is an API for custom sites. If you have no blog yet, we can host one on your own domain.
• Can I review articles before they go live?

Yes. Choose review first and every article waits for your approval, or let them publish on schedule. You can edit, hold or delete any article at any time.
• Can Citeca write in my brand's voice?

Yes. Citeca reads your website to learn how you write, what you sell and who your customers are, and writes in that tone. You can adjust the tone, words to use or avoid, and other writing rules in your settings.
• What languages does Citeca support?

More than 50, including Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Arabic, Hindi, Japanese and Korean. Each article is written in the language your customers search in, for the market you sell to.
• Will Google penalise me for AI-written content?

Google's guidance focuses on whether content is helpful, not on how it was made. Its spam policies target content made mainly to manipulate rankings. Citeca writes each article around a real question, with sources, and you can review anything before it goes live. As with any SEO work, nobody can guarantee how a search engine will treat a page.
• Does Citeca handle technical SEO?

Citeca audits your site, ranks what to fix first and explains each fix in plain words. Every article it publishes already has its meta title, meta description, schema markup and internal links in place.
• Why does Reddit matter to an AI answer?

AI tools often quote forums like Reddit and Quora when they recommend a business. Citeca finds the threads where your customers ask questions and drafts a helpful reply in your voice. It never posts anything: you read it, edit it and post it yourself, from your own account.

• How does the backlink network work?

When you connect your site, the backlink exchange is switched on. Some of your articles include one relevant link to another member business in a related field, and other members' articles link to you. Each live link you give earns credits, equal to your domain rating up to 20. Each live link you receive costs credits, equal to the linking site's domain rating. Links sit inside the article, never in footers, and never as a direct swap. You start with 100 free credits.
• Can I switch the backlink exchange off?

Yes, at any time, on your Backlinks page. Your articles then stop linking to other members and you stop receiving exchange links. Links already published stay where they are unless the site owner removes them.
• Are backlink exchanges safe for SEO?

We keep links natural: one link inside a relevant article, matched by field and domain rating, never a direct swap, and no more than three new exchange links a week. Even so, search engines set their own rules about links and change them over time, and nobody outside Google can promise how it treats any link. You decide whether to take part, and you can switch the exchange off at any time.
• What are hand-picked backlinks?

Our SEO team picks a relevant site in our network, plans the topic and places a link to you inside a new article. You can request one from your Backlinks page. Hand-picked links use credits, like the others.
• What are credits, and can I get more?

Credits keep the exchange fair: you earn them when you give links and spend them when you receive links. You can also add credits from your dashboard. Credits only work inside Citeca: they have no cash value and can't be transferred or exchanged for money.
• How fast will I see backlinks?

They arrive as other members of the network publish new articles, at most three new exchange links a week, so they build up naturally. Every link appears in your dashboard with the linking site, the article and whether it is live. We can't promise a number of links in a given time.

• How does the 7-day free trial work?

You get the full product for 7 days. You add a card at the start, and nothing is charged during the trial. If you don't cancel before it ends, your plan starts automatically at $99 a month, or $900 a year if you chose yearly, and renews until you cancel.
• Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Cancel in a couple of clicks from Settings, then Billing. No call, no notice period. Cancel during the free trial and you are not charged. Cancel later and your plan stops at the end of the period you have paid for, and you keep access until then.
• If I cancel, do I keep my articles?

Yes. Every article is published on your own website, so it stays there, with the traffic it brings. You own the content Citeca writes for you.
• Do you offer refunds?

The free trial is there so you can try everything before you pay. After that, payments for a period that has started aren't refunded, except where the law requires it. If something didn't work as it should, write to contact@citeca.ai and we will look at it.
• Why is there only one plan?

Because the work is the same for every business: research, 30 articles a month, publishing, backlinks, AI visibility tracking and a site audit. Splitting that into tiers would only mean holding features back. One plan keeps the price simple and gives every customer the full product.
• How does yearly billing work?

You pay $900 once for twelve months, which works out to $75 a month and saves $288 compared with paying monthly. Everything else is identical. If you cancel, the plan simply does not renew at the end of the year.
• What happens if I cancel?

Cancel anytime from Settings, then Billing. Billing stops at the end of your current period and you keep access until then, with no notice window and no call to book. Cancel during the free trial and you are not charged. Every article already published stays on your own site.
• Are taxes included?

Prices are in US dollars. Any sales tax or VAT that applies is shown at checkout before you pay, and every payment gets an invoice.
