How Citeca works
The pipeline behind a published, citable article — in the order it happens.
Citeca runs a loop. It finds the questions worth answering, writes and scores the answers, publishes them to your site, then watches which engines start quoting you and feeds that back into what gets written next.
The loop#
- 1
Understand the business
Your site is read, your category mapped, and your competitors identified. This produces the brand kit — audience, offering, tone, and the claims you are allowed to make.
- 2
Find the prompts that matter
Not keywords: prompts. The phrasings people actually type into an assistant when they are close to buying what you sell, plus the ones where a competitor is currently being named instead of you.
- 3
Plan the calendar
Each prompt becomes a planned article with a date, an angle and a type — guide, comparison, listicle, review. You can edit, reorder, add your own, or skip anything you do not want written.
Blog content - 4
Research and write
A draft is assembled with a clear question-and-answer structure, key takeaways, an FAQ block, internal links and sourced claims. It is scored before you ever see it, and a weak draft is rewritten rather than shipped.
Article quality - 5
Publish to your site
To every connected destination at once, live or as a draft for review. Publishing the same article again updates the post that is already there instead of creating a second one.
Publishing - 6
Get it seen
New URLs are submitted for indexing, marked up so an engine can parse the answer, and supported by backlink and forum work so the page has authority behind it.
- 7
Measure the citations
Prompts are re-run across the engines on a schedule to see who gets named. That result decides what the next cycle writes about.

| Step | Who does it | How often |

| Brand kit and tone | You, once — editable any time | Setup |
| Topic and prompt research | Citeca | Continuous |
| Writing and scoring | Citeca | Per article |

You can stay entirely hands-off, or not at all
Every connection has a publish immediately or save as draft setting. On draft, nothing becomes public until you press Publish, and the article waits in your CMS. On immediate, articles go live the moment they pass scoring.
How long it takes#
Being cited is a compounding result, not a switch. The honest timeline, based on what actually moves:
Weeks 1–4
Articles publishing, pages indexed, faults fixed. First impressions appear.
Months 2–3
Long-tail prompts start naming you. Google traffic becomes measurable.
Months 4+
Competitive prompts turn over as authority accumulates.
Heads up
Anyone promising citations on a commercial prompt in week one is describing something that does not happen. Engines weight sources they have seen referenced elsewhere, and that takes time to build.
